In the Flesh – Live is een twee-disc live-album dat opnames van de 3 jaar van de In The Flesh Tour omvat (1999-2002. Een DVD met dezelfde titel werd ook geproduceerd, en de twee werden uitgebracht in een nieuwe verpakking in 2006, een SACD met zowel stereo en 5.1 mixes.

Het materiaal voor de dvd werd genomen uit een voorstelling van 27 juni 2000 in de Rose Garden Arena in Portland, Oregon, terwijl de dubbel CD verschillende opnames bevat van de gehele 2000 US tour live show, afkomstig uit optredens in Phoenix, Arizona, Las Vegas, Nevada, Irvine, Californië, en Portland, Oregon.

“My view is that I’ve been involved in two absolutely classic albums – The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall,” vertelde Waters aan Classic Rock. “And if you haven’t got Amused to Death, you haven’t got the full set. So this album – the live one, which pulls together songs from all three albums – hopefully redresses the balance.”

Tijdens de tour werd ook het (toen nog niet uitgebrachte) nummer “Each Small Candle” gebracht, dat later op de verzamelaar “Flickering Flame” uitkwam.
