Hookend Studios Hookend Studios – Hookend Manor, Reading, England. De oorspronkelijke studio, Space Studios, werd gebouwd door Alvin Lee van de band Ten Years After. Veel opnames zijn er gemaakt tijdens Alvin Lee’s ambtstermijn, waaronder On The Road To Freedom en Rocket Fuel voordat hij het huis en atelier verkocht aan David Gilmour, die de studio gebruikte om delen van The Final Cut op te nemen. Ook heeft Gilmour dit gebruikt om nummers van A Momentary Lapse Of Reason op te nemen. Het opblaasbare varken van de band, voor het eerst gebruikt voor de hoes van Animals, werd hier opgeslagen in een van de bijgebouwen. David Gilmour verkocht het huis en studio aan Trevor Horn, die het veranderde in Sarm West. De studio is nu eigendom van Mark White singer/songwriter van de band Godnose. Household Objects Na het succes van Dark Side of the Moon, zat Pink Floyd in iets van een dilemma wat te doen. Een idee dat ze hadden was om te proberen om met behulp van alleen geluiden, geproduceerd door gewone huishoudelijke voorwerpen, een heel album te maken.
